Alejandro “Hondo” Diaz

Alejandro Diaz, mostly known as Hondo, is the Program Coordinator for the Rutgers Youth Sports Research Council within the Department of Kinesiology and Health. Hondo is an Old Bridge, New Jersey resident who has been working for the Sports Council since 2016. He is both a Certified Clinician and also teaches portions of the Clinician’s Workshop to aspiring instructors.

Hondo received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire in 2015. While attending SNHU he was a member of the Baseball team, where he was a 2-time All-Conference Selection at First base and Third base, and was selected as a team Captain for his senior campaign.

Hondo is also an Instructor and Coach for the Baseball Warehouse Instructional Academy located in Highland Park, New Jersey. Hondo has been on staff at the Warehouse since 2015. Hondo develops young athletes ranging from middle school through college. Off season baseball workouts and strength and conditioning classes are held throughout the winter. During the fall, spring and summer, Hondo coaches multiple teams that compete at elite levels.
